Topic 3: Assigning a Static IP Address
(Note: If you use DHCP-capable gateway/router,
you don’t need to assign any static IP addresses
because the gateway/router will automatically
assign IP addresses to the computers on the
network.)
Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Network
Connections>Local Area Connection.
Right click on Local Area Connection, and then
double click on Properties. You will see a win-
dow similar to this:
Select “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)”, then click
on Properties. At the following window, se-
lect “Use the following IP address:”, and fill
