Wearing your jabra BT8030

As a headset your Jabra BT8030 is designed to be comfortably worn with the headband on your head. On the side of the headset ‘L’ and ‘R’ are shown, which indicate the Left and Right ear posi- tions of the headset. The headset can be adjusted for optimal fit by expanding the length of the ear pieces.

Used as a speaker, the Jabra BT8030 should be placed on a flat surface with the ear cushions facing towards you and with the buttons on top. The Left (L) and Right (R) marks also indicate the correct positioning of the speakers.

The microphone is integrated in the left earpiece and Digital Sig- nal Processing (DSP) is used for the clear detection of your voice regardless of its use as a headset or speaker.

Transforming the Jabra BT8030 from headset mode to speaker mode

To switch from headset mode to speaker mode you will need to press the Safety Release buttons (see fig. 4) on top of the headband, and press the two earpieces outwards. Please note that you need to press the buttons on each side of the headset to transform it into a speaker.

The built-in Safety mechanism is to ensure that the Jabra BT8030 will not go into speaker mode while operating in headset mode.
