Cleaning the Hook Race
WARNING:
Turn the power switch off and unplug the machine
before cleaning.
NOTE:
Do not dismantle the machine in any way other than
what is explained in this section.
1Remove the setscrew on the needle plate with a
screwdriver. Remove the needle plate.

2Take out the bobbin. Lift up the bobbin holder and
remove it.

3Clean the bobbin holder with a lint brush.

4Clean the feed dog and hook race with the lint brush.

5Clean the hook race with a soft dry cloth.
(You may also use a vacuum cleaner.)
Inserting the bobbin holder
1Insert the bobbin holder.
2The knob of the bobbin holder should fit next to the
stopper in the hook race.

3Reattach the needle plate, aligning the needle plate
guide pins with the guide holes in the needle plate
and tighten the setscrew.

NOTE:
After cleaning the machine, make sure the needle and
presser foot are attached.
