Express Timer Programming
AAccess G-CODE screen
Press PROG.
BAccess programme screen
Press START +/–. (If you’re just starting
out, “P1” appears.)
CEnter programme start time
Press START +/– to enter the time you
want recording to start.
Press and hold START +/– to move in
30-minute increments, or press and
release repeatedly to move 1 minute at
a time.
DEnter programme stop time
Press STOP+/– to enter the time you want recording to stop.
Press and hold STOP+/– to move in 30-minute increments, or
press and release repeatedly to move 1 minute at a time.
EEnter programme date
Press DATE+/–. (The current date appears on screen. The date you
enter appears in its place.)
FEnter channel position
Press PR +/–.
GSet tape speed
Press p (SP/LP/EP) to set the tape
speed.
HReturn to normal screen
After confirming all information is correct, press PROG or OK.
“PROGRAM COMPLETED” appears on the screen for about 5
seconds, then normal screen appears. If “PROGRAM
OVERLAPPED” appears on the screen, see page 12.
Repeat steps 18 for each additional programme.
IEngage recorder’s timer mode
Press #. The recorder turns off automatically and “#” appears on
the display panel.
To disengage the timer, press # again.
NOTES:
To Timer-Record Weekly Or Daily Serials . . .
. . . anytime during steps 2 through 8, press WEEKLY (number
key “9”) for weekly serials or DAILY (number key “8”) for daily
serials (Monday – Friday). Either “WEEKLY” or “DAILY” appears
on the screen. Pressing the button again makes the
corresponding indication disappear.
You can programme this recorder to timer-record as many as 8
programmes. If you try to programme the recorder to record a
ninth, “PROGRAM FULL” appears on screen. To record the
extra programme, you must first cancel any unnecessary
programmes (12).
24H Express Timer Programming
You can programme a timer recording that starts within 24 hours.
AAccess 24HR Express Timer Programme display
Push 24H EXPRESS #. “ ” and start time starts blinking on the
display panel.
BSet programme start time
Turn t he JOG dial to the left or right. Then, push the JOG dial.
One click stop of the JOG dial changes the time in 5-minute
intervals.
CSet programme stop time
” and start time starts blinking on the display panel.
Turn t he JOG dial to the left or right. Then, push the JOG dial.
One click stop of the JOG dial changes the time in 5-minute
intervals.
DSet channel position
Channel number will start blinking.
Turn the JOG dial to the left or right. Then, push the JOG dial and
channel set number will start blinking.
You can cancel the setting at any time by pressing and holding
the JOG dial for more than 3 seconds. Repeat from the step 2.
To set the tape speed, press p (SP/LP/EP). The current setting
for the tape speed appears on the display panel for about 5
seconds. Press p (SP/LP/EP) again to change the setting while
tape speed is displayed.
EEngage recorder’s timer mode
Press 24H EXPRESS #.
The recorder turns off automatically and “#” appears on the
display panel.
NOTES:
If “Err” appears on the display panel, repeat the steps again.
When a menu screen is shown, you cannot use 24H Express
Timer programming function. Press MENU to return to normal
screen, and try again.
You can use 24H Express Timer programming function also
when the recorder is turned off.
For 24H Express Timer programming function, the program
overlap warning display does not appear even if some programs
overlap each other.

Check, cancel and replace programmes

ADisengage timer mode
Press #, then press 1.
BAccess Program Check screen
Press ".
CAccess Program screen
Press " again to check more
information. Each time you press ", the
next programme’s information appears.
Before performing the following steps:
Insert a cassette with the safety tab in place. The recorder will
come on automatically.
Turn on the TV and select the VIDEO channel (or AV mode).
Select the appropriate colour system (13).
