Remote control buttons and functions

Sleep timer function

The Sleep Timer can turn the TV off for you after you fall asleep. Program it to work in intervals of 10 minutes, for a total time of up to 120 minutes.

Press the button.

Picture mode

You can choose one of four PICTURE MODEs to adjust the picture settings automatically.

Press the PICTURE button.

BRIGHT:

Heightens contrast and sharpness.

STANDARD:

Standardizes picture adjustment.

SOFT:

Softens contrast and sharpness.

Operating a JVC brand VCR or DVD player

These buttonswill operate a JVC brand VCR or DVD player. Pressing a button that looks the same as the device’s original remote control button has thesame effect as the original remote control.

VCR:

When you are using a VCR , set theswitch to theVCR position. You can turn the VCR on or off with the (Standby) button.

DVD:

When you are using a DVD player, set the switchto the DVD position. Y ou can turnthe DVD player on or off with the (Standby)button.

•If y our device is not made by JVC, these buttons will not work.

•E ven if your device is madeby JVC, some of these buttonsmay not work, dependingon the deviceyou are using.

•Y ou can use thep/buttons to choose a TV channel the VCR will receive, or choose the chapterthe DVD player plays back.

•Some modelsof DVD player use thep/buttons for bothoperating the fast forward/backward functions andfor choosing the chapter.

• Set the VCR/TV/DVD switch to the TV position when you turn theTV on or off.
