Cancel The Finalisation Of A DVD-RW Disc Direct Access To ADISC SET UPB Screen

1 Load a DVD-RW disc to cancel the disc finalisation, and perform steps 1 - 2 of AFinalise A DVD-R/RW DiscB (A pg. 61) before continuing.

2 Press selection keys to select AHDD/DVD SET UPB, then press G.

3	Press selection keys to select ADISC SET UPB, then press G.
4	Press selection keys to select
	ACANC. FINALIS.B, then press	DVD VIDEO SET UP HDD/DVD SET UP FUNCTION SET UP				INITIAL SET UP
		HDD SET UP	DVD SET UP		DISC SET UP	DV SET UP
	ENTER.		FINALISE		CANC. FINALIS.
5 Press selection keys to select				Video
	AOKB, then press ENTER.			FORMAT
6	Upon completing cancellation
	of finalisation,	SET UP	ENTER	THEN PRESS [ENTER]
				SELECT WITH @
	ACANCELLATION	EXIT	SELECT	PRESS [SET UP] TO EXIT

COMPLETEDB appears on theTV screen. Press ENTER to end.7Press SET UP to return to the normal screen.

●When the disc finalisation is cancelled, the mode in which the disc was formatted is restored, making the disc recordable. (A pg. 7, 60)

NOTE:

It is not possible to cancel the finalisation of a DVD-R disc.

When you wish to finalise or cancel the finalisation of a disc, besides accessing the ADISC SET UPB screen through the SET UP button, you can also use the F2 button on the remote control. This F2 button enables you to access the ADISC SET UPB screen directly after loading the disc.

To finalise a discALoad the disc.BPress HDD or DVD so that the HDD or DVD lamp lights up on the unit.CPress F2 to access the ADISC SET UPB screen.●The screen in step 8 of AFinalise A DVD-R/RW DiscB (A pg. 61) appears.

DPerform steps 8 – 11 of AFinalise A DVD-R/RW DiscB (A pg. 61) to finalise the disc.

To cancel finalisationAPerform steps A – C of ATo finalise a discB above.

●The screen in step 4 of ACancel The Finalisation Of A DVD-RW DiscB on the left column appears.

BPerform steps 4 – 7 of ACancel The Finalisation Of A DVD-RW DiscB on the left column to cancel finalisation of the disc.

NOTES:

●The direct access (F2) function works only when in the HDD or DVD deck mode, on the condition that the Main Menu, Editing, Library Database Navigation or Dubbing screen is not displayed.

●The direct access (F2) function will not work in the followingcases, and an operation prohibition mark AB appears on the TV screen.●During DVD recording or playback.●Disc is not loaded.●A playback-only disc is loaded.●Disc reading in progress.●Disc information acquisition failure when DVD-RAM is loaded.

●When this unit is in the DV deck mode or when dubbing is in progress, the direct access (F2) function will also not work. However, AB will not be displayed.
