16.Do not run the cord under carpeting or cover the cord with rugs, runners or the like. Arrange cord away from traffic areas and where it will not be tripped over.

17.To disconnect heater turn the control to OFF, then switch off at the power outlet then remove plug from its outlet.

18.Do not insert or allow foreign objects to pass through the inlet or outlet openings. This may cause an electric shock, fire or damage the heater.

19.To prevent a possible fire or heat damage, allow ample space around the heater (at 1.7m at front and 0.5m at the rear, top and sides) and do not totally or partially block the air inlet or outlets in any manner. Check the openings from time to time for accumulated dust. Ensure long shag carpet does not obstruct airflow under the unit.

21.Switch off at the control switch and power outlet, then unplug and allow heater to cool down before cleaning or storing.

22.Use this heater only as described in this instruction manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacture may cause fire electric shock or injury and voids all warranties.

23.Regularly inspect the supply cord, plug, control settings, air inlets and outlets and main housing for any damage. If found damaged in any way, immediately cease use of the heater and return to

Kambrook or an authorised service agent for inspection or repair.

24.The installation of a residual current device (safety switch) is recommended to provide additional safety protection when using electrical appliances. It is advisable that a safety switch with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA be installed in the electrical circuit. See your electrician for professional advice.

HOW TO OPERATE

1.Remove your heater from its carton and associated protective wrapping, and unwind the cord to its full length and remove any protective cardboard or foam that may have been used to minimise transportation damage.

2.Place the heater on a firm, level surface in a stable upright position.

3.Visually inspect the air inlet and outlets to ensure no foreign material is blocking these areas.

4.Make certain the selector knob is turned to the OFF “O” position and temperature knob to “MAX”.

5.Plug the power cord in a 230-240 volt power outlet. To avoid an electrical circuit overload, it is recommended that no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit with your heater when you switch the unit on.The neon on the front housing will illuminate when the heater is turned on.

6.Control the heater with the selector knob and temperature knob, as follows:

The selector knob has 4 settings:

O Shuts of both heater and fan

*Turns the fan on and gives cool air only

I Gives warm air with half heating power

IIGives hot air with maximum 2400 watts of power

The temperature knob (HEAT) acts as an automatic thermostat:

Turn both selector and temperature knob to high / max settings

Once a comfortable room temperature has been reached, slowly turn the temperature knob anti- clockwise until you hear a click and the heater turns off.

At this setting your heater will automatically cycle on and off to maintain the desired room temperature.
