In-Ceiling Subwoofer

RW-5101-C

The RW-5101-C proves that domestic harmony and powerful home theater performance can co-exist. In other words, just because you can’t see this in-ceiling subwoofer, doesn’t mean you won’t feel it. This hard-hitter generates clean, potent bass that’ll lift you out of your seat. It also contin- ues the Klipsch tradition of high output with low distortion and effortless dynamic range.

The RW-5101-C utilizes a 10-inch long- throw woofer for unbeatable music and movie playback and high power handling (250 watts). The driver features a stiff, well-damped Cerametallic cone, a specially treated aluminum that has been electro- chemically transformed into ceramic on both outer surfaces. This ceramic com- pound allows the woofer to move at high speeds without blurring the sound. Further- more, the subwoofer features an MDF baffle and sealed back enclosure, allowing it to deliver consistent low-frequency response regardless of the ceiling space.

Easy-to-install, the RW-5101-C can accom- modate new or existing ceiling structures, as the enclosure is designed to fit standard ceiling joists. It employs all-new sure-grip mounting dogs for even pressure against the drywall. These robust dogs pull tight, leaving no gaps in sight and providing long-term installation reliability.

Timbre and style matched to all of our other premium in-ceiling products, the RW-5101-C brings a great bottom-end to a wide variety of discreet stereo or home theater systems. In fact, we’ve got premium architectural solutions in all shapes, sizes and prices, so take your pick!

RW-5101-C specifications

The Klipsch RW-5101-C is a premier in-ceiling speaker designed for those looking for high-quality audio performance without sacrificing aesthetics. This model is part of the renowned Reference series and showcases Klipsch’s commitment to delivering superior sound experience across varied settings, from home theaters to multi-room audio systems.

One of the standout features of the RW-5101-C is its ability to blend seamlessly into the architecture of a room. Its low-profile design makes it ideal for installation in ceilings, allowing users to enjoy high-fidelity sound without visible bulky speakers disrupting the decor. The speaker comes with a paintable grille, enabling customization to match any interior color scheme or design style, ensuring it remains discreet while delivering impressive audio performance.

In terms of technology, the RW-5101-C utilizes Klipsch's proprietary Tractrix Horn technology. This innovative design enhances speaker efficiency and provides controlled directivity, which translates to a more precise soundstage. The horn helps to project sound directly towards the listening area, minimizing room reflections and creating an immersive audio experience.

The speaker is equipped with a 5.25-inch woofer and a 1-inch aluminum diaphragm compression driver. Together, they deliver wide frequency response and powerful output. The combination ensures that both the lows and highs are handled with clarity and precision, making it suitable for various types of audio content, from music to dialogue in movies.

Another remarkable characteristic of the RW-5101-C is its easy installation process. The speaker is designed with a rotating "dog leg" mounting system, which simplifies the mounting process in both drywall and ceiling structures. With a cutout diameter of around 9.25 inches, the installation can be done efficiently and with minimal fuss.

Additionally, the RW-5101-C speaker has been engineered to work flawlessly with other components from Klipsch’s Reference series, allowing users to create a cohesive surround sound system that enhances their overall listening experience.

All these features make the Klipsch RW-5101-C an excellent choice for audiophiles and casual listeners alike, offering remarkable sound quality, aesthetic versatility, and ease of installation—all while making a discreet statement in any space.
