6. Activation
Preparing for use
•Remove the radio and accessories from the packaging.
•Remove all transport restraints and adhesive tape/films.
Important!
Do not permit small children to play with plastic packaging. There is a risk of suffocation!
Inserting the batteries
For operation you need two 1,5 V batteries type Mignon AA/LR6 (not supplied).
1.Open the battery compartment s on the rear side of the radio.
2.Place the batteries into the battery compartment s making sure that you observe the correct polarity according to the illustration.
3.Carefully close the battery compartment lid until it clicks into place.
Interaction with batteries
Leaking batteries can cause damage to the device.
•If you do not intend to use the device for an extended period, remove the batteries.
•Always change all batteries at the same time and always use batteries of the same type.
•Should the batteries leak, wear protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
•Do not expose the batteries to excessive heat such as sunlight, fire or similar.
