Unpacking
1.Take the radio out of the packaging.
2.Remove all adhesive tapes and foils.
Important!:
Do not permit small children to play with plastic packaging. There is a risk of suffocation!

Inserting the batteries
For battery operation of the radio you must first in- sert four 1.5 V, Type AAA/LR03/Micro batteries (not supplied) into the battery compartment i.
1.Open the battery compartment i at the rear of the radio in that you remove the cover in the direction of the arrow.
2.Insert the four batteries into the battery com- partment i, ensuring their positionings comply with the polarity markings given in the battery compartment i.
3.Replace the battery compartment cover.
Interaction with batteries
Leaking batteries can cause damage to the appliance.
•If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended period, remove the batteries.
•Always change all batteries at the same time and always use batteries of the same type.
•Should the batteries leak, wear protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
