Power does not turn on
•Is the AC adaptor connected correctly?
•Does the rechargeable battery have sufficient remaining capacity?
•Did you hold down the power button?
Nothing appears in the display
•Is the contrast adjusted correctly? (→p.38)
Display is dark
•Is the backlight set to "OFF"? (→p.26)
No sound
•Is the MR-1 and the connected equipment powered-on? (→p.12)
•Are the amp or headphone connections incorrect?
Can't hear the playback
•Is the volume set to "0"?
Can't hear the audio input
•Are the recording settings correct?
•Is the recording level raised?
•Make sure that audio is being input.
In the level meter screen, verify that the level meters are moving.
Can't record
•Is the recording level too low?
•Is there sufficient hard disk space remaining?
→Set the counter display to "Free" and check the remaining time available for recording.

The recording is interrupted
•Could the MR-1 have been bumped while recording?
•Could the MR-1 have been in a location subject to continuous vibration (such as near a
motor or a bass amp) while recording?
