LER 3009

Learn basic time concepts with the Student Changing Faces Clock Flip Books. Teach individual time units with three double-sided clock faces featuring hours, minutes, quarter hours with minutes, analog display, and digital display.

The Student Changing Faces Clock Flip Books can be used with small learning groups or with the whole class. Students can use the flip books while the Changing Faces Clock (LER 3008) is being demonstrated. Each page allows you to introduce time concepts in stages. Start with reading hours only, then progress until students can read a complete clock face.

All pages are write-on/wipe-off and can be written on with a wet- or dry-erase marker. The flip books also include a clock face with moveable hands. Customize activities with the blank clock face included. Each clock page is labeled with a letter, so it is easy to reference pages that students should be using.

Note: To ensure that your marker doesn’t leave a permanent mark, test it on the corner of a clock page. Use a damp cloth when removing wet- erase marks from the pages. Pages will warp if saturated with water.

Determine which clock face you want to use. Call out a time or write a digital time on the board and have the students draw the correct time on the clock face. For a challenge, give the students a time problem and have them solve it by writing the answer in their flip books. Answers can be checked by matching what is shown on the Changing Faces Clock.
