INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR END PANEL ASSEMBLY

MODELS 38AEP, 38AEP-BB AND 38AEP-BS

Lennox’s End Panel Assembly, Models 38AEP, 38AEP-BB and 38AEP- BS are designed to be installed on Lennox’s Merit Plus fireplace, Model CPF-38, along with the aluminum bi-fold glass door, Models 38ABF, 38ABF-BB and 38ABF-BS.

Please read and understand these instructions carefully before begin- ning installation and operation. Do not attempt to modify the construc- tion of this panel assembly as it could cause a malfunction or possible fire hazard.

The end panel, Models 38AEP, 38AEP-BB and 38AEP-BS have been tested and listed by Omni Test Laboratories, Inc.

INSTALLATION

The CPF-38 fireplace upper and lower frames have pre-formed holes for mounting the end panel.

Insert the upper pins (longer) of the end panel assembly into the holes in the upper fireplace frame. Swing the lower portion of the end panel towards the lower fireplace frame and insert the two (2) lower pines (shorter) into the two (2) holes in the lower frame.

Complete the installation by attaching the 38ABF, 38ABF-BB or 38ABF- BS bi-fold door in the same manner. Refer to the 38ABF, 38ABF-BB and 38ABF-BS Installation Instructions (P/N 750,133M) for installation requirements.

PLEASE RETAIN THIS MANUAL FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
