Filters

G20E and G20X series units are equipped with reusable filters which should be inspected monthly and cleaned when necessary to assure proper furnace operation. See table 1 for filter sizes. Use the following procedure to clean filter.

1- Turn off electric power to furnace.

2- Remove blower access panel. Wait for blower to stop.

3- Remove filter by sliding up and out of filter brackets.

4- Wash filter with water and a mild detergent. For in- creased efficiency, filter media should be sprayed with filter Handicoater when dry. Filter Handicoater is RP products no. 418 and is available as Lennox part no. P-8-5069.

NOTE-If filter media must be replaced, order Lennox part no. P-9-7831 for7$20”%/(x 25￿” filter, P-8-7822 for 16” x 25” filter, 97H0601 for 18” x 25” filter, 97H0701 for 25” x25” filter, and 97H08016,'(5(7851%27720for 24” x 30” filter.5(7851

Blower

Check and clean blower wheel for any debris. Blower mo- tor is prelubricated for extended bearing life. No further lu- brication is needed.

Pilot and Burner Flame

CAUTION

Check pilot flame and burner flame periodically to ensure proper operation.

1- Pilot Flame -- Pilot flame must surround the end of flame sensor for proper operation of pilot safety cir- cuit. See figure 7.

Flame should be predominantly blue in color, strong in ap- pearance and should rise directly from the burner ports in the heat exchanger. Check to see that flame is burning from all continuous ribbon ports and that flame does not impinge on the sides of the heat ex- changer. See figure 8.

VENTING SYSTEM INSPECTION

Annually (before heating season) inspect furnace venting system, draft hood, vent cap, heat exchanger, burners and pilot for corrosion, deterioration, or deposits of de- bris. Remove any obstructions.

Contact your Lennox dealer for a periodic unit inspection by a qualified service technician.

BLOCKED VENT SHUT-OFF SYSTEM

Your Lennox furnace is equipped with a blocked vent shut-off switch and a flame roll-out switch. The blocked vent shut-off switch shuts off the gas supply to the furnace in the event of flue or vent blockage. The flame roll-out switch shuts off the gas supply to the furnace if there is a

G20 specifications

Lennox International Inc G20 is a cutting-edge HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system that embodies innovation and efficiency. Known for its commitment to sustainability and advanced technology, the G20 model stands out in the competitive landscape of climate control solutions.

One of the defining features of the Lennox G20 is its high efficiency rating. The unit is designed to operate with superior energy efficiency, helping homeowners and businesses significantly reduce their energy consumption and utility bills. With an impressive SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) rating, the G20 harnesses state-of-the-art technology to provide optimal cooling performance while minimizing environmental impact.

The G20 incorporates advanced smart technologies that enhance user experience. Lennox's proprietary iComfort S30 smart thermostat is compatible with this model, allowing users to monitor and control their indoor climate remotely via a smartphone app. This integration not only improves convenience but also helps optimize energy usage by allowing settings to be adjusted according to occupancy patterns.

Innovative technology extends to the system’s variable-speed compressor. This feature enables the G20 to adjust its cooling output based on the specific needs of the environment, ensuring consistent comfort without fluctuations. The result is a quieter operation and improved indoor air quality as the system runs for longer periods at lower speeds, effectively removing humidity.

Durability is another hallmark of the Lennox G20. Built with high-quality materials, the unit is designed to withstand a range of weather conditions and require minimal maintenance. Its robust construction ensures reliability, contributing to a long operational lifespan, which is a significant consideration for both residential and commercial applications.

The G20 also prioritizes eco-friendliness, utilizing R-410A refrigerant, which has a lower environmental impact compared to older refrigerants. Furthermore, the system is engineered with sound-dampening technology that reduces operational noise, creating a more pleasant indoor environment.

In summary, Lennox International Inc G20 represents state-of-the-art HVAC technology. Its energy efficiency, smart features, variable-speed compressor, durability, and eco-friendliness make it a premium choice for those seeking dependable climate control solutions. The G20 not only enhances comfort but also aligns with modern sustainability goals, making it a forward-thinking investment in a responsible future.
