Cleaning the Motor

If the motor compartment becomes dusty, it should be cleaned. To do this, remove the bottom ventila- tion grille as follows.

!CAUTION

To avoid injury from sharp edges, wear protective gloves before performing the following steps.

To prevent possible injury from an electrical shock, be sure to disconnect the power cord or turn OFF the circuit breaker before performing the following steps.

For a right-hand hinged door:

1.Remove the cover caps and screws (A).

2.Loosen (but do not remove) the left-hand screw on the hinge bracket (B).

3.Remove the cover panel (C).

4.Slide the ventilation grille (D) to the left.

The motor compartment can then be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.

After cleaning, replace the ventilation grille. Make sure you re-tighten the screw on the hinge bracket properly.

For a left-hand hinged door:

1.Remove the cover caps and screws (A).

2.Loosen (but do not remove) the right-hand screw on the hinge bracket (C).

3.Remove the cover panel (B).

4.Slide the ventilation grille (D) to the right.
