LDCO800 Garage Door Opener

MODEL BBU BATTERY BACKUP UNIT

User’s Guide

Your Model LDCO800 Garage Door Opener is specially equipped with Linear’s Model BBU Battery Backup Unit.

In the case of an AC power failure, the Battery Backup Unit will power your garage door opener for up to 24 hours without AC power. The length of time that the Battery Backup Unit will power the opener depends on the number of open/close cycles performed while the opener is on battery backup power.

Note that the opener’s courtesy lamp will not light while the opener is operating on battery backup power.

When the AC power returns, the Battery Backup Unit will automatically charge its batteries. Allow 48 hours for a complete battery recharge.

The Backup Battery Unit regularly performs a self-check routine. If the self-check detects that the batteries are no longer serviceable, the three beeps will sound from inside the opener every minute. If this occurs, call your garage door installation professional for a replacement Battery Backup Unit.
