Passo 1: Ligação da gateway

No passo 1, irá ligar a gateway à sua linha ADSL e aos computadores de casa ou do escritório.

Primeiro, certifique-se de que todos os dispositivos com que está a trabalhar estão desligados da corrente eléctrica incluindo os PCs e a gateway.

A. Ligue uma extremidade do cabo telefónico fornecido à porta ADSL (RJ-11) na parte de trás da gateway.

Ligue a outra extremidade do cabo telefónico à tomada na parede com o serviço ADSL.

Gateway ADSL com Modem / Router/ Switch de 4 portas / Preparada para utilização sem fios

C.Ligue uma extremidade de um cabo Ethernet ao adaptador de Ethernet do PC. Ligue a outra extremidade do cabo a uma das portas LAN na parte de trás da gateway. Repita este processo para cada PC que pretender ligar à gateway.

Nota: Se o adaptador de Ethernet do PC não estiver configurado, consulte o manual do utilizador do adaptador de Ethernet para obter mais informações.

Se pretender ligar mais do que quatro PCs à gateway, também será necessário ligar um hub ou switch.

Nota: Se possuir uma placa PC Card sem fios da Linksys (WPC11), certifique-se de que está correctamente introduzida na ranhura PC Card na parte posterior da gateway antes de ligar a corrente eléctri- ca. É necessário introduzir esta placa para utilizar as funcionalidades sem fios da gateway.
