Control Module, monitored

SMÜ-55000-852

ADM loop technology with Apollo/Discovery protocol

One line-monitored output

Output line monitored for wire breakage and short circuit

Setting of module address by means of address switch

Integrated dual-isolator

Description

The addressable Control Module SMÜ-55000-852 ser- ves for the line-monitored actuation of external devices, such as fi re controls and acoustical or optical signal- ling devices, via the bidirectional communication on the ADM loop with Apollo/Discovery protocol. The external devices are actuated by means of a monitored output.

An external supply voltage is required for powering the external devices.

The address is easily selected by means of a built-in DIL switch. The module has an integrated dual-isolator and is fi tted into a plastic case. Status LEDs indicate the condition of the output and the dual-isolator.

SM-55000-852 specifications

The LST SM-55000-852 is a cutting-edge landing ship tank (LST) designed for versatile amphibious warfare and logistical support operations. With a design that integrates advanced technologies, the SM-55000-852 is tailored to meet the demands of modern naval engagements, featuring enhanced operational capabilities, increased capacity, and improved survivability.

One of the standout features of the SM-55000-852 is its impressive cargo capacity. Capable of transporting a substantial amount of military personnel, vehicles, and supplies, this landing ship has a maximum payload capacity of around 5,500 tons. This enables it to accommodate a full battalion, complete with armored vehicles such as tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, making it essential for rapid deployment during amphibious assaults.

The propulsion system of the SM-55000-852 incorporates a hybrid diesel-electric configuration, allowing for both high-speed travel and silent running capabilities. This technology provides enhanced fuel efficiency and reduces the ship's thermal and acoustic signatures, making it harder to detect in hostile waters. The ship can achieve speeds of up to 20 knots, ensuring quick insertion and extraction of forces.

In terms of construction, the SM-55000-852 utilizes modern composite materials that enhance durability while minimizing weight. This allows for improved maneuverability and stability in diverse maritime environments. The hull design is optimized for beaching conditions, equipping the ship to operate in shallow water environments and facilitating direct vehicle offloading onto beaches.

Equipped with advanced command and control systems, the SM-55000-852 features state-of-the-art navigation and communication technologies. These systems enable real-time situational awareness and facilitate coordination with joint forces, ensuring synchronized operations during missions.

Furthermore, the SM-55000-852 is armed with a range of defensive weapons systems, including anti-aircraft guns and missile systems, which provide protection against aerial threats. Its onboard defences, combined with effective electronic warfare capabilities, enhance the ship's survivability in contested environments.

The LST SM-55000-852 stands out as a formidable asset in any naval fleet, blending strategic logistical support with combat capabilities, and is poised to play a critical role in future maritime operations. As military strategies continue to evolve, vessels like the SM-55000-852 will be essential for maintaining operational readiness and tactical advantage in contemporary warfare scenarios.
