The ASSIGN TO MAIN MIX button [19] routes the stereo mix from the optional FIREWIRE card to the main mix bus.

19. ASSIGN TO MAIN MIX (FIREWIRE)
Let’s say you’re doing a live show. Intermission is nearing and you have a playlist of MP3 files on your lap- top you want to play during the break. Get the optional FireWire card and engage the ASSIGN TO MAIN MIX button to play your MP3s directly from your computer, into the MAIN MIX.

This controls the volume at the PHONES output [30], from off (∞) to maximum gain (MAX).
22. TAPE IN Knob
This controls the volume at the TAPE input [58], from off (∞) to maximum gain (MAX).
23. TAPE TO MAIN MIX
Push this button in to route the TAPE IN signal to the main mix bus.
WARNING: Pushing in the TAPE
TO MAIN MIX button can create a
feedback path between TAPE IN and
TAPE OUT. Make sure your tape deck is not in record,
monitor mode when you engage this switch, or make sure the TAPE IN knob [22] is turned all the way down (off) when recording.
