Do not block any of the ven tilation open ings.
Install in accorda nce with the man ufacturers in structions.
Do not install near a ny heat sources suc h as radiators, h eat
registers, stove s, or other appa ratus (includi ng ampliers)
that produce heat .
Do not defeat the saf ety purpose of th e polarized or
grounding-typ e plug. A polarized p lug has two blade s with
one wider than the ot her. A grounding typ e plug has two
blades and third grou nding prong. The wi de blade or third
prong are provided for you r safety. When th e provided
plug does not t into yo ur outlet, con sult an electri cian for
replacement of th e obsolete outle t.
Protect the power cor d from being walked o n or pinched
particularly a t plugs, convenie nce receptacl es, and the
point where they exi t from the appara tus.
Only use attachm ents/accessor ies specied by t he
manufacturer.
Use only with a cart , stand, tri pod, bracket , or
table specied by t he manufactu rer, or sold with
the apparatus. W hen a cart is used , use caution
when moving the car t/apparatu s combination to
avoid injury from tip -over.
Unplug this appar atus during lig htning storms o r when
unused for long peri ods of time.
Refer all servici ng to qualied ser vice personne l. Servicing
is required when the a pparatus has b een damaged in an y
way, such as power-supp ly cord or plug is dam aged, liquid
has been spilled or o bjects have fall en into apparat us, the
apparatus has be en exposed to rai n or moisture, do es not
operate normall y, or has been droppe d.
This product may cont ain lead or mercur y. Disposal of
these materials m ay be regulated du e to environment al
considerations . For disposal or re cycling inform ation,
please contact yo ur local authori ties or the Elec tronic

Damage Requiring S ervice - The app liance should be
serviced by quali ed service per sonnel when:
A. The power supply c ord or the plug has be en damaged;
B. Objects have fa llen, or liquid ha s been spilled in to the
appliance;
C. The appliance h as been exposed t o rain
D. The appliance doe s not appear to ope rate normally or
exhibits a marked c hange in perfor mance;
E. The appliance h as been dropped , or the enclosure
damaged.
Tilt/Stabil ity - All televis ions must comply w ith
recommended inte rnational glo bal safety sta ndards for tilt
and stability pro perties of it s cabinet desig n.
• Do not compromise the se design stand ards by applying
excessive pull force t o the front, or to p, of the cabinet
which could ultima tely overturn t he product.
• Also, do not endang er yourself, or chi ldren, by placin g
electronic equi pment/toys on t he top of the cabin et. Such
items could unsusp ectingly fal l from the top of the se t and
cause product dam age and/or person al injury.
Wall or Ceiling Mount ing - The applianc e should be
mounted to a wall or ce iling only as recom mended by the
manufacturer.
Power Lines - An outdoo r antenna should b e located away
from power lines.
Outdoor Antenn a Grounding - If an ou tside antenna i s
connected to the re ceiver, be sure the ant enna system is
grounded so as to provid e some protectio n against volta ge
surges and built up st atic charges.
Section 810 of the Nati onal Electric C ode, ANSI/N FPA
No. 70-1984, provide s information wi th respect to pro per
grounding of the mas t and supportin g structure, g rounding
of the lead-in wire t o an antenna disc harge unit, si ze of
grounding connect ors, locatio n of antenna-di scharge unit ,
connection to grou nding electrod es, and require ments for
the grounding elec trode. See Figu re below.
Object and Liquid E ntry - Care shoul d be taken so that
objects do not fal l and liquids are not s pilled into the
enclosure throug h openings.
Battery Usag e CAUTION - To prevent bat tery leakag e
that may result in bod ily injury, proper ty damage, o r
damage to the unit :
• Install all batt eries correct ly, with + and - aligne d as
marked on the unit .
• Do not mix batterie s (old and new or carbon a nd
alkaline, etc.) .
• Remove batteries w hen the unit is not u sed for a long
time.

Note to the CATV system installe r: This reminder is provided to call the CATV syst em installer’s atte ntion to Article
820-40 of t he NEC that provides guide lines for prop er grounding a nd, in parti cular, specie s that the ca ble ground
shall be connecte d to the grounding s ystem of the build ing, as close to th e point of cable en try as practic al.
