The Bristol does use a different start capacitor, run capacitor, and start relay. These are supplied with service compressors. They must be changed at the time of installation.

The Bristol compressor is wired the same as the Tecumseh and will take the same nameplate refrigerant charge. It is important to change the drier whenever opening the refrigeration system. Check your Manitowoc Parts Manual for correct drier size.

If this Bristol compressor is replacing a Copeland Compressor, a lead wire conversion kit, 7621883, may be necessary. This is available through your local Manitowoc distributor.

This replacement compressor may be different than the original compressor and/or have slightly different tubing configurations. The suction line, discharge line, and/or suction service line at the compressor may need to be rerouted, when making this change-out.
