K00018 STACKING KIT

Installation Instructions

1.The K000187 stacking kit is used for stacking an E-0600 (or G-0800) on an E-1100 (or G-1700) ice machine. The bin must be leveled before proceeding.

2.INSTALLATION OF E-1100 ICE MACHINE:

A.See service manual for uncrating and inspection of ice machine.

B.Remove top cover from and side panels from ice machine.

C.Set ice machine carefully and squarely on bin.

D.Position top cover from kit on right-hand side of ice machine. Attach the water shield to the top cover with #8 x 1/2 SMS from kit (see Illustration 1).

E.Add foam tape from kit, as shown in Illustration 1.

3.INSTALLATION OF E-0600 ICE MACHINE:

A.See service manual for uncrating and inspection of ice machine.

B.Remove top cover and side panels from ice machine.

C.Set E-0600 ice machine on E-1100 ice machine with back and left-hand sides flush.

D.Use 1/4” diameter holes in bottom rails of E-0600 as a template to drill two 1/4” holes, one in the left- hand top rail of the E-1100 and one in top cover from kit. Be careful not to damage internal components of E-1100 ice machine (see Illustrations 2A and 2B).

E.Bolt ice machines together with 1/4-20 x 5/8” long bolt, washers, and nuts, provided in kit.

4.INSTALLATION OF ICE CHUTE:

A.Attach bottom-mounting bracket from kit to front base channel of E-1100 ice machine (see Illustration 2A).

B.Remove angle “A” from E-0600 ice machine (see Illustration 2A).

C.Attach top mounting bracket from kit to top rail of E- 1100 ice machine using existing screw.

D.Reattach angle “A”.

E.Remove the water curtain limit guard from the E- 1100 ice machine.

F.From the top ice machine, carefully bring the ice chute down in place until the weld studs go into the holes in the mounting brackets. Secure with wing nuts provided in kit.

G.Use RTV from kit to seal all seams between the top cover and E-0600 ice machine (see Illustration 2A).

H.Check for free movement of water curtains.

I.Reattach all panels.

J.Proceed to ice machine service manuals for electrical and water hook-ups and start-up procedure.
