1. Read and understand this instruction manual before using this
product.Save this manual for future reference.
2. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose
heatguns to rain or moisture. Store indoors. Connect to grounded
outletonly.
3. WARNING: This product, when used for soldering and similar applica-
tions,produces chemicals known to the State of California to cause
cancerand birth defects or other reprodcutive harm.
4. Do not use plug adaptors or remove the ground prong from the plug.
Thistool is equipped with a 3-prong plug and a 3-wire grounding
system.Connect to properly grounded outlets only.
5. Use heat gun only on adequately rated circuits to avoid overheating
ofelectrical systems.
6. This heat gun can produce up to 1000°F (540° C) of flameless heat
outof the nozzle. Do not direct this hot air stream at your clothing,
handsor other body parts. Do not use as a hair dryer.
7. Do not touch nozzle until cool. Extreme heat is generated in that area.
Alwayshold tool by the handle.

Donot touch work surface with nozzle. Keep nozzle face at least 1" away.
9. Keep a clean work area. Messy or cluttered work areas invite
accidentsor injury.
10.Keep away from children. All visitors should be kept at a safe distance
fromthe work area. Do not let visitors touch the tool or extension cord.
11.Use tool in a well ventilated area. Do not use near flammable liquids
orin an explosive environment (where fumes, gases or dust are present).
12.Remove all highly flammable materials and other debris from the
workarea.
13.Wear safety glasses at all times.
14.When using an extention cord, use only a
3-wiregrounded cord with a minimum of 14 gauge capacity. We
recommendthey be listed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) in the
U.S.A.or (CSA) Canadian Standards Association in Canada and be
suitablefor outdoor use. Cords marked for out door use are also
suitablefor indoor use.
15.Don't abuse cordset. Never yank by cord to remove from electical
outletor carry tool by cord.
16.When not using, place tool on a level sur- face and set heat gun down
inan upright position.
17.Keep a fullly charged fire extinguisher close at hand.
18.Do not leave heat gun unattended while running or cooling down.
19.Stay alert. Do not operate tool when you are tired. Use common
senseand watch what you are doing.
20.Store properly. Do not store while hot. Store in a dry, high or
locked-uplocation. Keep out of the reach of children.
21.Do not attempt to repair or disassemble this heat gun yourself.

DESCRIPTION AND INTRODUCTION
TheEcoheat is an economical, lightweight, multi-use heat gun. Two heat settings— 500° and 1000° F —make it well suited to a wide variety of automo-
tiveand commercial applications. Because it weighs 1 lb., it's easy to use for extended periods of time, which cuts down on operator fatigue. When not
inuse, the heat gun can be set down in an upright position on its very stable built-in stand.
