4Under Video Output Control, s elect Downconvert HD video to SD if
you want to downconvert HD video output to SD.
¦NoteWhen you select Downconvert HD video to SD, you do not need
to change your video playback settings in Final Cut Pro. Your project’s video
playback settings should always match your sequence settings.
5If you select Downconvert HD video to SD, or if you are working with SD
16:9 material, you can select one of the following video output options from
the Output 16:9 material as menu:
$Letterbox Outputs the widescreen 16:9 picture in letterbox mode by
adding black bars at the top and bottom of the picture for display on a
standard 4:3 television screen.
$Anamorphic Outputs the widescreen 16:9 picture as horizontally
compressed 4:3 video, which retains the picture’s full vertical resolution
for display on a widescreen television. To display the video with the correct
proportions on an NTSC or PAL monitor, select the 16:9 display setting on
the monitor.
$Center cut Outputs the widescreen 16:9 picture by evenly cropping the
left and right edges of the picture for display on a standard 4:3 television
screen.
6Under Audio Output Control, from the Monitor audio on menu, select
which audio channel pair you want to monitor from the embedded SDI
audio.
