UMTS card (optional)
You must have an appropriate contract with a mobile phone provider to use the notebook’s UMTS functionality. You will receive a SIM card from your provider. Insert it into the note- book as described below. You will find detailed information about UMTS software on the Utility CD.
The SIM card must not be inserted or removed while the notebook is switched on.
1.Remove all cable connections, disconnect the notebook from its power supply and remove the battery.
2.Remove the cover on the under- side of the notebook. Remove the eight screws with a Phillips head screwdriver. Keep the screws in a safe place.
3.Place the UMTS module into the slot as illustrated. Secure it with two screws.
4.Replace the cover and screw it firmly into place.
5.Flip up the SIM card holder.
6.Place the SIM card in the holder as illustrated. Make sure the SIM card contacts are oriented cor- rectly.
7.Flip the SIM card holder back into its original position so that it locks audibly into place.
8.Insert the battery.
