The Remaining Battery Charge icon indicates the remaining time the battery can be used. The more the battery is used, the fewer the number of segments in the icon. For some batteries or rechargeable dry cells, the number of segments in the battery icon may increase of decease irregularly while the remaining charge is measured, but this is normal.
When the battery runs out the icon starts blinking, the power is automatically turned off after about 30 minutes.
