IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Please read all instructions before operating your new toaster. We suggest that you save the instruc- tion manual for later use.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

-Read all instructions thoroughly before use.

-Do not touch hot surfaces. This toaster is equipped with ”Cool Walls” which makes you able touch the sides as well as the handles.

-To protect yourself against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or toaster in water or other liquid during use or when cleaning the appliance.

-Close supervision is necessary when any elec- trical appliance is used by or near children.

-WARNING: Children must be made aware of the possible danger of electrical appliances if used incorrectly.

-Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.

-Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunc- tions, or if it has been damaged in any man- ners. Return appliance to an authorised service dealer for examination, repair, or adjustment.

-Do not use outdoors or in a bathroom.

-Do not let cord hang over edge of table or worktop or touch a hot surface.

-Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner.

-To disconnect: remove plug from wall outlet.

-Do not use the appliance for other than the intended use.

-Oversize foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in a toaster as they may create a risk of fire or electrical shock.

-A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including cur- tains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.

-Do not attempt to dislodge food when the toaster is plugged in.

-Do not place anything on top of the toaster when in use.

-This appliance must not be left unattended during use.

-Never use the toaster without the crumb tray.

-Empty the crumb tray often, otherwise there will be a risk of fire.

IMPORTANT POINTS

-Remove all packaging material from the bread before inserting in the toaster.

-Do not toast bread with sugar or glaze, or bread with stuffing.

-Do not toast thick pieces of bread, they can get stuck in the toaster.

-If the bread gets stuck in the toaster, remove the plug from the power outlet and let the toaster cool off.

-Move the carriage up and down a couple of times to release the bread. Do never use metal objects to remove the bread.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before using for the first time, run for a few mi- nutes without bread. Some smoke may appear at first, this is normal and will disappear after a short while.

-Plug into a power outlet and turn the power outlet to on position.

-Place the bread in the openings. Adjust the selector knob to your desired toast colour position. Turn the selector knob to the right between 1 and 5. The browning level will incre- ase in relation to the numbers. Push down the carriage.

-When the toasting is done, the carriage returns to its initial position and the toast will appear at the openings. The toaster automatically swit- ches off. If the bread becomes stuck inside the toaster, switch it off and unplug, allow cooling and remove the bread.
