To get the best out of your new appliance, please read this user guide carefully before using it for the first time. Take particular note of the safety precautions. We also recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference, so that you can remind yourself of the functions of your appliance.

SAFETY MEASURES

General

Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury and damage.

Use for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).

For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial use.

For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only.

Never submerge the appliance, cord or plug in water, and no water must be allowed to enter the motor section.

Never touch the appliance, cord or plug with wet or damp hands.

Do not expose to direct sunlight, high temperatures, humidity, dust or corrosive substances.

Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.

Keep the appliance under constant supervision while in use. Keep an eye on children.

The appliance contains sharp parts - keep out of the reach of children.

Use only accessories supplied with the appliance or those recommended by the manufacturer.

Use

Always place the appliance on a dry, level and firm surface well away from any edges.

Only switch on the appliance, when the beaker is fitted and contains liquids or foodstuffs.

Never pour boiling liquid or very hot food into the beaker. Make sure that the food has a sufficiently low temperature to avoid burning/scalding in case of skin contact.

Only fill the beaker 2/3 with liquids and foodstuffs.

Do not use the beaker if it is cracked or damaged in any way.

Always fit the blade unit onto the beaker before placing the assembled sections onto the base unit.

Be careful not to touch the sharp edges of the blades during cleaning!

Do not leave the multimixer running for more than

1 minute at a time when blending, as otherwise the motor can overheat.

Cord and plug

Do not let the cord hang out over the edge of the work surface.

Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the cord or any extension cord.

Keep the cord and appliance away from heat sources, hot objects and naked flames.

Remove the plug from the socket when cleaning, and when not in use. Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug.

Ensure that the cord is fully extended.

The cord must not be twisted or wound around the appliance.

Check regularly that neither cord nor plug is damaged and do not use if they are, or if the appliance has been dropped or damaged in any other way.

If the appliance, cord or plug has been damaged, have the appliance inspected and if necessary repaired by an authorised repairer. Never try to repair the appliance yourself. Please contact the store where you bought the appliance for repairs under the guarantee. Unauthorised repairs or modifications to the appliance will invalidate the guarantee.

KEY TO THE MAIN COMPONENTS OF THE APPLIANCE

1.Motor section

2.Beaker

3.Ring

4.Cutter

In addition, two lids for storage are supplied.

PRIOR TO FIRST USE

Before using the appliance for the first time (or after prolonged storage without use) wash and dry any parts that will come into contact with food. See “Cleaning” below.

USING THE APPARATUS

1.Place the motor section (1) on a flat surface, e.g. a kitchen counter, and make sure it is standing firmly.

2.Plug in and switch on the power.

3.Add fruit/vegetables, ice cubes and liquid to the beaker (2). Never fill the beaker more than 2/3. o Cut the ingredients into small pieces before

placing them in the beaker.

o It may be necessary to add more liquid if the

ingredients are unable to reach the blade.

4.Firmly attach the cutter (4) to the beaker. (First remove the ring (3) from the top edge of the beaker if fitted).

646-076, 646-80 specifications

Melissa 646-80 and 646-076 are part of a series of advanced polycarbonate materials developed for a diverse range of applications in various industries. These materials are renowned for their exceptional strength, durability, and versatility, which make them suitable for both architectural and industrial uses.

A standout feature of Melissa 646-80 and 646-076 is their remarkable impact resistance. These polycarbonate grades can effectively withstand high-stress situations and resist shattering, which makes them ideal for safety and security applications, such as in protective barriers, safety glasses, and riot shields. Their resilience contributes to their longevity and reliability in environments where traditional materials may fail.

In terms of optical clarity, both grades offer outstanding transparency, resulting in a light transmission of over 90%. This characteristic makes them suitable for applications requiring visibility without obstructions, such as in light fixtures, signage, and glazing solutions. Additionally, the materials are compatible with various coatings and can be treated to enhance UV resistance, helping to prevent discoloration and degradation from harmful sunlight.

These polycarbonate materials also display excellent thermal stability, enabling them to perform in a wide temperature range without significant deformation. This thermal resilience is crucial for applications in automotive and aerospace industries, where materials are often subjected to extreme conditions.

The processability of Melissa 646-80 and 646-076 is another distinguishing feature. These grades can be easily molded and extruded, allowing for the fabrication of complex shapes and components. This flexibility makes them a favorite among manufacturers seeking to innovate in product design without sacrificing performance or safety.

Moreover, the eco-friendliness of polycarbonate materials cannot be overlooked. Being fully recyclable, Melissa 646-80 and 646-076 align with increasing global demands for sustainable product solutions. This sustainability aspect is increasingly important as industries strive to reduce their carbon footprint and adopt greener practices.

In summary, Melissa 646-80 and 646-076 are leading-edge polycarbonate materials characterized by their durability, impact resistance, optical clarity, and thermal stability. Their versatility and eco-friendliness make them a preferred choice across various sectors, including construction, automotive, and consumer goods, positioning them for continued growth in numerous applications.
