o Hot water and steam will now run out of the steam iron, and any calcium deposits will be washed out. Shake the steam iron from side to side until the water reservoir is empty.
o Turn the steam setting selection knob to position 0. Plug the iron in, stand it upright, turn the thermostat knob to position •••, and let the steam iron heat up again. Any residual water in the reservoir will turn into steam.
