SAFETY ADVICE AND WARNINGS:

-Read these instructions carefully before switching on the appliance and keep them for future reference. Failure to follow and observe these instructions could lead to an accident.

-Clean all the parts of the product that will be in contact with food, as indicated in the cleaning section, before use.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

-Place the appliance on a horizontal, flat, stable surface that is free from vibrations. Avoid any contact of the weighing area with walls or other objects not to be weighed as this could lead to an inaccurate weight being displayed.

USE AND CARE:

-Do not overload the appliance’s weight capacity.

-Remove the batteries from the appliance if the appliance is going to be stored away for a long period of time.

-This appliance is for household use only, not professional, medical or industrial use.

-This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

-This appliance is intended for adult use. Ensure that this product is not used by the disabled, children or people with reduced mental, physical or sensory capability or people not use to its handling unless they have been given instruction on its use and are supervised by someone responsible for their safety.

-This appliance should be stored out of reach of children and/or the disabled.

-Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.

-This scale has a maximum capacity of 5000 g or 5 kg, do not exceed this limit as it could damage the scale.

INSERTING/REMOVING THE BATTERY/S:

-Caution: During the handling of batteries, do not touch both poles at the same time, as this will provoke the partial discharge of the stored energy therefore affecting lifespan of the battery.

-Remove the battery case lid.

-Ensure that the plastic covering that protects the battery has been removed (some batteries are sold with a protective cover).

-Insert the battery into the designated area, taking into account the polarity (Fig.1).

-Replace the battery case lid.

-It is essential that the batteries should always be the same brand and have the same charge. Never mix alkaline batteries with normal ones (i.e. Carbon- Zinc) and/or rechargeable ones.
