Turning on and off

The control knobs are used to turn the burners on and to regulate the strength of the flames.

Turning on

^To turn on the burner, press the control knob down and turn it counterclockwise to the large flame symbol. The ignitor will click and ignite the gas.

^When the flame appears, keep the control knob pressed in for

8-10 seconds to allow the Ignition Safety Control to reach operating temperature and release it.

If the flame goes out, repeat the above procedure, keeping the control knob pressed in for a few extra seconds.

^Adjust the knob to the desired setting.

Since the outer portion of the flame is much hotter than the center, the flame should be set so that its tips do not extend beyond the sides of the pan. Flame tips which extend beyond the sides of the pan are hazardous.

Turning off

^Turn the knob clockwise to "ß".

This stops the flow of gas and turns off the burner.

The knob must only be turned left to turn the appliance on and right to turn it off.

If the knob is turned:

-on without pressing it down first,

-clockwise past the 12 o’clock position, or

-counterclockwise past the smallest flame symbol,

parts of the cooktop may be damaged. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible these damages.

The KM 404 boasts a generous cooking surface with multiple zones, providing ample space for various pots and pans. The cooktop includes a powerful dual-zone feature that allows users to utilize larger cookware, making it highly versatile for different culinary needs. Each cooking zone is equipped with a booster function, ensuring that high heat is delivered quickly when needed, perfect for searing meats or boiling large quantities of water.

Another noteworthy characteristic is Miele’s user-centric design. The KM 404 is equipped with intuitive touch controls that allow for effortless operation. Users can easily adjust settings, including temperature levels and timer functions, ensuring that cooking is not only efficient but also enjoyable. The clear LCD display provides real-time feedback, making it easy to monitor cooking progress.

Miele has also incorporated smart technology into the KM 404, which includes features like pan detection and automatic shut-off. This ensures that energy is used efficiently and that the cooktop is safe, as cooking zones deactivate when no cookware is detected. Additionally, the cooktop's sleek surface is easy to clean, requiring only a simple wipe to maintain its pristine appearance.

In conclusion, the Miele KM 404 is a top-tier induction cooktop that combines advanced features with a user-friendly interface.
