Using your hairdryer

After washing your hair, it’s really important to prepare it for styling. If you use lots of heated styling tools on your hair, try to use a heat protection spray before you begin styling. Always dry the excess water from your hair using a towel, then use a widetooth comb to detangle and smooth your hair.

To begin drying, remove the nozzle from your dryer and blast your hair with the dryer on the highest speed setting until your hair is 50% dry – there is no point trying to style your hair until it is almost dry. As your hair begins to dry, switch off your dryer and attach the concentrator nozzle. The nozzle must only be used with low and medium heat settings. Using the nozzle helps to direct the airflow and will give your hair a sleek and smooth finish. If you are blow-drying curly hair into a straight style, use the nozzle to direct air down the shaft of the hair. If you want to create volume instead, tip your head upside down and use your fingers to comb your hair through as you dry it.

As your hair dries, use the dryer on a slower speed setting so as not to blow your style out of place. When you have achieved the style you want and your hair is thoroughly

dry, press the ‘Cool Shot’ button for a blast of cold air to set your style in place. To switch Cool Shot off and continue drying with hot air, press in ‘Cool Shot’ button again.

Don’t forget – to switch off your hair dryer and store it when you have finished drying. If you want to store your hair dryer in the gift box, always make sure the hair dryer has cooled down.
