FEATURES & OPERATION

The CM-4S uses closely-matched, wide range, condenser uni- directional (cardioid) elements, angled at 100° in an X/Y stereo configuration. It features excellent channel separation; smooth, linear 90Hz-16kHz frequency response with a switchable Stereo/ Mono/Off switch, crisp, clear transparent audio; and internal battery operation. All this contained in a compact, lightweight design for easy camera mounting

The CM-4S has unbalanced, in-phase, low impedance stereo outputs. Use the 2’ stereo cable to connect to 3.5mm stereo inputs such as on camcorders or the 10’ cable to connect to two channels of your mixing console or recording equipment.

Placing the mic closer to the sound source will create a more pronounced stereo image while moving the mic further away will lessen the stereo image and result in more room noise. Placing a mic too close to a multi-voice source may result is some voices being more dominant than others. Experiment with placement for

the best possible results. Set the STEREO/MONO/OFF switch to mono when stereo application is not desired.

Before operating, install an alkaline AA battery by unscrewing, and sliding down, the lower portion of the handle to reveal the battery compartment. The CM-4S is only designed for battery use.

DANGER: DO NOT USE PHANTOM POWER WITH THE CM-4S OR YOU COULD DAMAGE THE MICROPHONE.

Note: Low bias voltages (such as those used for mini-disc, DAT, or analog recorders) will not harm the microphone.

(WARNING: The capsule is the heart of the condenser micro- phone. If the elements become dirty or wet, the sound will be degraded. Never spray any liquid on the microphone head.)

CM-4S specifications

Nady Systems CM-4S is a versatile and innovative product that has gained popularity in the wireless audio equipment market, particularly among musicians, sound engineers, and public speakers. This wireless microphone system provides high-quality audio transmission and is designed to meet the demands of both live performance and recording environments.

One of the standout features of the CM-4S is its UHF frequency operation, which allows for a greater range and improved sound quality compared to traditional VHF systems. Operating in the UHF band provides reduced susceptibility to interference, enabling clear audio transmission in various environments. This makes the CM-4S particularly suitable for outdoor events or crowded venues where multiple devices may compete for bandwidth.

The CM-4S boasts a wide dynamic range and low total harmonic distortion (THD), ensuring that the audio captured is clear and true to the source. This dynamic range allows for vocal performances that maintain clarity even at higher sound pressure levels. This characteristic is especially important for vocalists who want their voice to stand out without distortion or feedback.

Another significant advantage of the CM-4S is its user-friendly setup. With an easy-to-read LCD display, users can quickly monitor essential parameters such as battery life, frequency settings, and audio levels. This feature aids in preventing live performance mishaps due to unforeseen technical issues, allowing performers to focus on their presentation.

The microphone components themselves feature a durable design, built to withstand the rigors of frequent use. The handheld microphone incorporates a high-performance capsule that delivers excellent vocal reproduction, making it suitable for a variety of vocal styles—from spoken word to singing. Additionally, the adjustable sensitivity settings allow users to customize the audio output, accommodating different voices and performance needs.

The CM-4S system also includes a reliable receiver that can support multiple transmitter connections. This versatility means that performers can switch between different microphone types or even use multiple units for larger performances without losing audio quality or experiencing dropouts.

In conclusion, the Nady Systems CM-4S wireless microphone system combines advanced technology with user-centric features, making it an excellent choice for anyone in need of high-quality wireless audio solutions. Its robust build, outstanding audio fidelity, and easy-to-use controls ensure that users can deliver their best performance, whether on stage or in the studio.
