Printer Driver for Windows 3.1
Selecting Timeout OptionsTimeout options control the amount of time that elapses before a
message appears to notify you of printer problems.
1. If you are not already using the Printers dialog box, click Printer
Setup from the Options menu. The Printers dialog box appears.
2. Click the Connect... button. The Connect dialog box appears.
3. Change Timeout options as needed.
Device Not Selected Controls the amount of time that Print
Manager continues to check the printer to
determine whether it is on-line and ready
to print. If the printer is not ready to print
after the specified amount of time has
elapsed, a message appears, notifying
you that the printer is off-line.
Transmission Retry Controls the amount of time that elapses
before a message appears to notify you
that your printer cannot accept any more
information. After the printer finishes
processing the information it currently
has, it clears its memory and is ready to
accept more information.
4. Click the OK button. The Printers dialog box appears.
5. Click the Close button.
