Taking Pictures with the Self-Timer

The self-timer is suitable for taking group pictures and reducing the vibration when the shutter-release button is pressed. Timer durations of two or ten seconds can be selected.

When using the self-timer, use of a tripod is recommended. Set Vibration reduction (A150) in the setup menu (A141) to Off when using a tripod to stabilize the camera.

1 Press the rotary multi selector n(self-timer).

The self-timer menu is displayed.

2Use the rotary multi selector to choose 10s or

2s and press the kbutton.

• 10s (ten seconds): suitable for group pictures

• 2s (two seconds): suitable for preventing camera shake

When ais selected, the camera uses face detection to

detect a human face, and then automatically releases

The mode selected for the self-timer is displayed.

If the kbutton is not pressed within a few seconds, the selection will be canceled.

The self-timer starts, and the number of seconds remaining before the shutter is

lamp stops blinking and remains lit.

 

 

When the shutter is released, the self-timer turns OFF.

To stop the timer before a picture is taken, press the shutter-release button again.
