Options during a call
The following options are available to you during an active call:
yMute
ySend DTMF
yContacts
To access these options:
XPress during a call to view the list of options.
XScroll to the desired option, and press .
XFollow the instructions shown on the display.
Mute call
To mute a call in progress, select Mute,
which switches off the microphone.
Muted is displayed.
XPress during an active call.
XScroll to Muted, and press to mute the call.
XPress to unmute the microphone.
Send DTMF tones
DTMF tone strings can be used to send passwords or to access
your answering machine or to control an automatic voice
dialogue system.
XDuring a call, press .
XScroll to Send DTMF, and press .
XScroll right to access the contacts in order to select a string
of numbers that have been predefined and saved.
XScroll left to enter a string of numbers.
XPress to select the desired entry.
XIf you have accessed the contact entries, scroll to the
defined string, and press .
or
XTo enter the desired string of numbers, use the keypad.

handset” on page 14.
When a number is selected, it is immediately sent as a DTMF
tone.
XPress to exit this option and return to the call display.
The call in progress remains active.
Note
You can save DTMF strings as contacts. For further
information on adding entries to the contacts, see “Add
a name” on page 31.
Contacts
During a call, you may wish to view contact entries to check a
number or to give the caller a particular number.
To view contacts:
XDuring a call, press .
XScroll right to the desired letter of the alphabet, and press
to open the list of names beginning with this letter.
