6. Use phone menus

• Navigate menus

A menu is a list of choices you can make. Your phone has 9 main menus.
Each main menu contains numerous submenus that allow you to use the
phone book, change the ringing tone, and so on. You can use menus and
submenus two ways: by scrolling or by using shortcuts.

Scroll through menus

1From the Start screen, press Menu, and then scroll through the menus
using the and keys.
2Press Options, Select, or OK, using the selection keys, at the option
you want.
3Use the scroll and selection keys to navigate the submenus and to
return to the Start screen.

Use a shortcut

To get to options directly, without scrolling through lists, you can use a
shortcut.
Example
Suppose you want to customize a ringing option.
1From the Start screen, press Menu, and then press the number of the
menu item you want.
2For this example, press Menu 3 > 1 > 2 > 1 (the same as pressing
Menu > Profiles > Customize > Ringing Options).
3When the ringing options appear, scroll through them, select the one
you want, and press OK.
Note: Don’t pause too long between numbers. The phone remembers
the last key pressed for only about 2 seconds. For example, if you
press Menu 3 > 4, and pause too long between 3 and 4, the result
is the same as pressing only Menu 3.
