Introduction

The AD-42W gateway allows you to connect a standard home stereo system to a compatible music player or headset that supports Bluetooth wireless technology. Read this user guide carefully before using the gateway. Read also the user guides for

your compatible audio devices that you use with the gateway. Keep the gateway and its accessories out of reach of small children.

Bluetooth wireless technology

Bluetooth wireless technology allows you to connect compatible communication devices without cables. A Bluetooth connection does not require that the gateway and the other device be in line of sight, but both devices must be within a certain distance of each other. The distance depends on the operating range of the devices. The gateway is a Bluetooth

Class 1 device with an operating range of up to 100 meters (300 feet) but a typical operating range of Bluetooth devices is 10 meters (30 feet).

Connections can be subject to interference from obstructions, such as walls, or other electronic devices.

The gateway is compliant with Bluetooth Specification 2.0 supporting the following
