PROBLEM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on
SOLUTION: a. If the walkingbelt is off-center, remove the key and
UNPLUGTHE POWER CORD. If the walking belt
has shiftedto the left, use the hex key to turn the
left idlerroller bolt clockwise 1/2 of a turn; if the walk-
ing belthas shifted to the right, turn the bolt coun-
terclockwise1/2 of a turn. Be careful not to over-
tightenthe walking belt. Plug in the power cord, insert
the key,and run the incline trainer for a few minutes.
Repeatuntil the walking belt is centered.
b. If the walking belt slipswhen walked on, first remove
the key and UNPLUGTHE POWER CORD. Using
the hex key, turnboth idler roller bolts clockwise, 1/4
of a turn. Whenthe walking belt is correctly tightened,
you should beable to lift each edge of the walking
belt 3 to 4 in. (8 to10 cm) off the walking platform. Be
careful to keepthe walking belt centered. Then, plug
in the power cord,insert the key, and carefully walk
on the inclinetrainer for a few minutes. Repeat until
the walkingbelt is properly tightened.
