Introduction

This document provides procedures for installing optional plug-in media dependent adapters (MDAs) into supported Bay Networks products equipped with an expansion slot. The MDAs can support high-speed connections to servers, shared Fast Ethernet hubs, or backbone devices.

Note: The MDAs are not hot-swappable. Power down the switch before installing or removing an MDA.
