Auto-LiftTMsystem

To operate, place the iron on its soleplate on a flat surface. Plug the iron into an outlet and make sure the Auto-LiftTMswitch is in the on

( ) position.

Simply touch the iron handle and the iron will sense your hand and lower. Any time you release the handle the spacers will automatically raise the iron to protect your fabric.

overriding the Auto-LiftTMsystem

If you wish to turn off the Auto-LiftTMsystem, move the switch on the back of the iron to the off () position. Your Touch&GlideTM will now operate like a standard iron. If the iron is left in the horizontal position for more than 30 seconds, the Auto-LiftTMspacers will raise. This will prevent the iron from burning your fabric or ironing surface. Touch the iron handle and the iron will lower. You can restore Auto-LiftTMby returning the switch to the on () position.
