Emissivity
Emissivity is a term used to describe the energy-emitting
characteristics of mater ials. The higher of this value
means the more capability of radiation emittance the
materials has. Most or ganic materials and painted o r
oxidized s urface s have an em issivi ty of 0.98. Metal
surfaces or shiny materials has a lower emissivity and
give in accur ate read ings. Ple ase note this dur ing
applications.
