DISPLAY SYMBOLS

The American Heart Association1 recommends the following guideline for upper limit of normal for home blood pressure readings:

AHA Home Guideline for Upper Limit of Normal BP

Systolic Blood Pressure

135 mmHg

Diastolic Blood Pressure

85 mmHg

This is a general guideline because blood pressure depends on age and morbidity. The AHA recommends a lower home blood pressure goal for certain patients, including diabetic patients, pregnant women, and patients with renal failure1.

The monitor is not intended to be a diagnostic device.

MORNING HYPERTENSION SYMBOL ( )

The Morning Hypertension Symbol is displayed if the morning average reading for a week is above 135 for the Systolic Blood Pressure value and/or 85 for the Diastolic Blood Pressure value when viewing the Morning Averages and the Evening Averages in the memory.

Omron Healthcare recommends you contact your physician if the MORNING HYPERTENSION SYMBOL and/or the HEARTBEAT SYMBOL appear on the display with your measurement values.

BP785 specifications

The Omron BP785 is an advanced blood pressure monitor designed to provide accurate and reliable health measurements from the comfort of your own home. This device is specifically engineered to cater to individuals who are proactive about their health, aiding them in monitoring their blood pressure trends over time.

One of the main features of the Omron BP785 is its ability to display both systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings, along with pulse rate. With an easy-to-read LCD screen, users can quickly interpret their results, making it user-friendly for adults of all ages.

The BP785 utilizes advanced averaging technology to provide more accurate measurements. This feature takes multiple readings over a short period and calculates an average, reducing the impact of variability due to factors like stress or body position during measurement. This ensures that users receive a reliable reading every time they check their blood pressure.

Another significant characteristic of the Omron BP785 is the Smart Cuff Technology. The device comes with a wide-range cuff that fits comfortably on the arm, allowing for a secure fit for various arm sizes. This feature is crucial as improper cuff size can lead to inaccurate readings. The cuff is designed to inflate and deflate gradually, enhancing comfort and further ensuring precise measurements.

The BP785 also incorporates a unique feature called the “Body Movement Detection.” This technology alerts users if their position may be affecting the accuracy of the readings. Additionally, it can store up to 200 readings for two users, making it suitable for couples or family members monitoring their health together.

With a built-in hypertension indicator, the monitor visually indicates whether the readings are within a normal range, which can be particularly beneficial for those new to managing blood pressure. This device is powered by either an AC adapter or batteries, allowing for portability and convenience in various environments.

Overall, the Omron BP785 stands out due to its blend of technology, accuracy, and ease of use. It empowers users to take control of their cardiovascular health with confidence and assurance.
