Your Optimus
•Keep the subwoofer dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Liquids can contain minerals that corrode electronic circuits.
•Use and store the subwoofer only in normal temperature environments. Tem- perature extremes can shorten the life of electronic devices, and distort or melt plastic parts.
•Handle the subwoofer gently and carefully. Dropping it can damage circuit boards and cases and can cause the subwoofer to work improperly.
•Keep the subwoofer away from dust and dirt, which can cause premature wear of parts.
•To maintain the cabinet’s finish, do not let it come into contact with water vapor, alcohol, benzene, insecticide, or similar liquids. Do not place a plastic covering on top of the cabinet, as the plastic’s color could come off and stick to the finish. Clean the subwoofer cabinet with a soft, dry cloth.
•Never touch the subwoofer elements with your hands or expose them to excessive shocks. If the subwoofer is dented or bent, the sound is distorted as well.
Modifying or tampering with the subwoofer’s internal components can cause a malfunction and invalidate your subwoofer’s warranty. If your subwoofer is not performing as it should, take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance.
