One-Year Limited Warranty

This Orion BT70 Binocular Telescope is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty is for the benefit of the original retail pur- chaser only. During this warranty period Orion Telescopes & Binoculars will repair or replace, at Orion’s option, any warranted instrument that proves to be defective, provided it is returned postage paid to:

This warranty specifically does not cover abuse, modification, mishandling, self-repair, or normal wear and tear (including mold growth). Binocular collimation (alignment of the optics) is specifically not covered beyond the 30-day return period. Binoculars go out of collimation only if they are dropped or bumped. Binocular collimation (and cleaning) are considered routine maintenance and should be done every five years, or when necessary.

If the product is not registered, proof of purchase (such as a copy of the original invoice) is required. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
