Because DVD camcorders use a completely non-contact method to record and play, repeated playback doesn't degrade image quality like it can with videotape. Important images and videos can be kept for years with no loss of image quality. Plus, DVD-RAM discs can also be rewritten approximately 100,000 times, making them an economical and ideal choice for repeated recording.

When recording to DVD-RAM discs, models VDR-M70 and VDR-M50 automatically search for a blank section on the disc. All you need to do is press the button to start recording. There’s no need to worry about accidentally recording over previously recorded material.
