What is an Air Filter?

The air filter prevents dust from entering the HotWire 8800 Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM) chassis. Install an air filter when the 8800 chassis is in a dusty or unfiltered environment. Once the filter is installed, you should inspect and/or replace the air filter periodically, or whenever the fan alarm is active.
