Install in accordance w ith the manufa cturers instr uctions.
Do not install near any he at sources such as ra diators, heat
registers, stoves, o r other apparat us (including am pliers)
that produce heat.
Do not defeat the safet y purpose of the pol arized or
grounding-type plug . A polarized plug h as two blades wit h
one wider than the other. A gro unding type plug h as two
blades and third groundi ng prong. The wide bl ade or third
prong are provided for your saf ety. When the provi ded
plug does not t into your out let, consult a n electricia n for
replacement of the obso lete outlet .
Protect the power cord from b eing walked on or pin ched
particularly at plu gs, convenience re ceptacles, a nd the
point where they exit from t he apparatus .
Only use attachment s/accessories s pecied by the
manufacturer.
Use only with a cart, s tand, tripod , bracket, or
table specied by the m anufacturer, or sol d with
the apparatus. When a c art is used, use c aution
when moving the cart /apparatus com bination to
avoid injury from tip-o ver.
Unplug this apparat us during lightn ing storms or whe n
unused for long periods of t ime.
Refer all servicing to qu alied servi ce personnel. S ervicing
is required when the app aratus has been d amaged in any
way, such as power-supply co rd or plug is damage d, liquid
has been spilled or obje cts have fallen in to apparatus , the
apparatus has been ex posed to rain or mo isture, does not
operate normally, or ha s been dropped.
This product may contain l ead or mercury. Dis posal of
these materials may be re gulated due to env ironmental
considerations. For d isposal or recyc ling informati on,

Damage Requiring Ser vice - The applia nce should be
serviced by qualied s ervice person nel when:
A. The power supply cord or t he plug has been da maged;
B. Objects have falle n, or liquid has bee n spilled into th e
appliance;
C. The appliance has be en exposed to rai n
D. The appliance does not ap pear to operat e normally or
exhibits a marked chan ge in performan ce;
E. The appliance has be en dropped, or th e enclosure
damaged.
Tilt/Stability - A ll televisions m ust comply with
recommended interna tional global s afety standa rds for tilt
and stability proper ties of its cab inet design.
• Do not compromise these de sign standard s by applying
excessive pull force to the f ront, or top, of t he cabinet
which could ultimatel y overturn the pro duct.
• Also, do not endanger your self, or childre n, by placing
electronic equipme nt/toys on the to p of the cabinet . Such
items could unsuspec tingly fall from t he top of the set and
cause product damage a nd/or personal inj ury.
Wall or Ceiling Mounting - Th e appliance shou ld be
mounted to a wall or ceilin g only as recommen ded by the
manufacturer.
Power Lines - An outdoor ant enna should be loc ated away
from power lines.
Outdoor Antenna Grou nding - If an outsi de antenna is
connected to the recei ver, be sure the antenn a system is
grounded so as to provide som e protection aga inst voltage
surges and built up stat ic charges.
Section 810 of the Nationa l Electric Code , ANSI/NFPA
No. 70-1984, provides info rmation with re spect to proper
grounding of the mast and s upporting str ucture, groun ding
of the lead-in wire to an an tenna dischar ge unit, size of
grounding connector s, location of ant enna-disch arge unit,
connection to groundi ng electrodes , and requiremen ts for
the grounding electro de. See Figure be low.
Object and Liquid Entr y - Care should be t aken so that
objects do not fall and li quids are not spill ed into the
enclosure through ope nings.
Battery Usage CAU TION - To prevent batter y leakage
that may result in bodily in jury, propert y damage, or
damage to the unit:
Install all batteries correctly, with + and - aligned as •
marked on the unit.
Do not mix batteries (old and new or carbon and •
alkaline, etc.).
Remove batteries when the unit is not used for a long •
time.
Do not insert any strang e object into the ve ntilation slo ts.
This might lead to damag e of the TV.
