HOW TO SET THE TV FOR STEREO PROGRAMS
our TV can detect a stereo signal
Yand will set itself automatically so
the stereo sound can be heard.
However, there may be occasions when
you might want to set the TV to mono.
The following steps describe how to
change the SOUND control:	Main
	Picture	Brightness	Main
	Sound	Color
Press the MENU button on the			Picture	Treble Boost
	Features	Picture
remote to display the on-screen menu.	Install	Sharpness	Sound	Bass Boost
		Tint	Features	Sound
			Install
Press the CURSOR UP ▲ or CUR-		More...
SOR DOWN ▼ button until the word
SOUND is highlighted.
Press the CURSOR RIGHT ▶
button to display the SOUND menu
features.			Sound
Press the CURSOR UP ▲ or		2 4	Treble Boost	On
			Bass Boost
CURSOR DOWN ▼ button to scroll	1		Sound
the Sound menu features until the word			6
SOUND is highlighted.
Press the CURSOR RIGHT ▶
button to select MONO or STEREO.
When finished, press the STATUS			3 5
/EXIT button to remove the menu	L		Sound
from the TV’s screen.	4 2		Treble Boost

With STEREO selected, the television			Sound	Mono
will reproduce any stereo broadcast sig-
nal it receives. Please note that you can
force a stereo broadcast signal to
MONO, but you cannot force a mono
broadcast signal to stereo.

Remember: If stereo is not
present on a selected show the
“Sound” control cannot be set to Stereo.
On the other hand, if stereo is present
on a selected show the “sound” control
can be set to Mono.
During channel changes the screen may
indicate Mono for a moment then
change to Stereo if a stereo signal is
detected.
