An SAPis an additional part of the stereo
broadcast system. Sent as a third audio chan-
nel, an SAPcan be heard apart from the cur-
rent TVprogram sound. TV stations are free
to use SAPfor any number of purposes.
1Press the MENU button on the
remote control to show the onscreen
menu.
2Press the CURSORDOWN once to
highlight SOUND.
3Press the CURSORRIGHT and the
menu will shift to the left. TREBLE
will be highlighted and an adjustment
bar will be shown to the right.
4Press the CURSOR DOWN repeated-
ly until SAPis highlighted.
5Press the CURSORRIGHT or
LEFTto turn the SAP control ON or
OFF. “AVAILABLE” will appear in
the control bar if SAPif avaialbe for
that program.
6Press the STATUS/EXITbutton to
remove the menu from the screen.

If an SAPsignal is not present with a select-
ed program, the SAPoption cannot be select-
ed. Also,if SAP is selected on a channel
(with SAP) and you select another channel,
when you return to the original channel, SAP
will be OFF. You will have to reselect the
SAPfeature.
